Sacred sound sessions at-a-distance

31 flavors of stuck
Ivory Coast djembeYou’re stuck. And you’re over it. Or ready to be over it. Maybe you’re stuck in a rut, or tangled up in old patterns, or hanging out somewhere you just don’t want to be anymore. You want to move forward, but right now you’re just going in circles.

Maybe you’re working to change something – or a whole lot of somethings – but you’re not having much luck. You’ve seen a few small shifts, but you’re not making any big progress. Change comes. Change goes. The landscape looks pretty much the same.

Or maybe you feel like you’re trying to push a great big boulder up a great big hill. No matter what you do – no matter how hard you work or how hard you push or how much you try to will it to happen – it just isn’t happening. You’re worried you can’t push much longer. And worried about what will happen to that boulder when you let go.

Maybe you’re stuck because you’re in pain. Something hurts. Maybe it’s your body, your mind, your heart, your soul. Maybe it’s a relationship you’re in, or a choice you made, or a path you picked. Something definitely hurts. And you’re ready for it not to hurt anymore. Maybe you’re even ready to actually feel good.

You could be struggling because you feel lost. You obviously took a wrong turn somewhere, but you’re not sure how you got where you are. And you have no idea how to get to someplace better. It’s like someone has flipped the off switch on your inner GPS.

Maybe you don’t just feel lost. Lost would be a step up from where you are, which is totally shut down. Unplugged. Disconnected. Out of touch. And not just with yourself. But also with your life. And with the people around you. You feel kind of like a zombie (minus the whole eating brains thing). You want to feel alive again.

Maybe something great big has happened, bringing with it some great big stuck. Something happened that was so painful, so scary, so unexpected that it’s like it froze you in time. Immediate, deep, oh-my-god-this-hurts-so-much sort of stuck. You’re not sure you can ever recover. You feel permanently broken.

Or maybe stuck and struggle have been hanging around for so long that you figure they’ll always be there. It could have started as little stuck or big stuck, but it’s evolved into always around stuck. A part of you feels like stuck and struggle are always going to be crashing on your couch and leaving their ick all over your life.

No matter how you slice it, stuck sucks.

Why you feel like nothing works on your stuck

You may have tried all sorts of stuff (and spent all sorts of money) trying to deal with your stuck.

Meditation. Affirmations. Creative visualization. Psychics. Law of attraction. Therapy. Exercise. Buying a ton of books. Taking a bunch of classes. Talking to a bunch of expert-ey people who all promise to have the one great big secret insight that will change everything.

None of it has brought you results you want.

It’s not that any of these things are bad. In fact, they’re all perfectly fine options. They have their place. But they may not be enough to help you shift the stuff you need to shift.

Why not?

Because change starts at the energy level. And if you don’t work at that level, it’s virtually impossible to experience lasting change.

There’s energy behind everything you experience. Including stuck and struggle. In fact, every experience starts as energy. It’s like the energy is a blueprint that directly shapes what shows up.

Himalayan singing bowlShifting the energy behind something makes it a hundred times easier to shift that something. Changing the blueprint changes what shows up in your life. So energy level is just another way of saying the place where change happens fast.

On the other hand, trying to shift stuff without shifting the energy behind it is hard. Like trying-to-rub-your-belly-and-pat-your-head-at-the-same-time hard. You’re going one direction, while the energy is going another. A tug-of-war ensues. And shifting stuff while being stuck and in a tug-of-war? That’s a great big bunch of hard.

Since it’s a lot easier to shift stuff by working on stuck at the energy level, it makes the most sense to start there. Sacred sound is the most effective way I know to do that. It goes to the roots, and changes the energy behind your stuff so that your stuff can shift.

Deeply. Completely. Once and for all.

Over the last 18 years I have worked with hundreds of people from all around the world. People in all sorts of different situations. People with all different kinds of stuck.

In that time, I’ve seen a whole lot of stuck shift into a whole lot of awesome. Again and again and again. And I’ve seen a whole lot of lives get a whole lot better through sacred sound.

Because of that, I feel totally confident saying that sacred sound can help you to say buhbye to stuck and struggle, and hello to a big bunch of awesome! It can help you make the changes you want, and get the results you need.

And I get that you may be interested in this sacred sound thing, but not totally sure. Maybe you’re a little skeptical. Or maybe you have some questions. Totally normal and totally ok.

The ubiquitous FAQ

These are some of the questions I get asked a lot. Maybe your questions are here too.

Sound at a distance? Are you serious?

I know. It sounds far out, right? When you think sound, you think hearing. So the whole sound-at-a-distance thing may sound kind of nutty. How can I play a drum here and your stuff shifts there?

Ninjas.

Meet Niles.

Niles the Sock Ninja (yeah, you read that right)

Niles is a ninja. Well, a sock ninja to be exact. What’s a sock ninja? Think sock puppet with mad skills.

When I’m finished doing a distance session, Niles scoops up all of the awesome and tucks it in his secret ninja bag. Then he travels all stealthy-likehe’s a ninja, that’s what ninjas do – drops the awesome off on your doorstep and takes your stuck with him when he leaves. Ta da!

Ok, that’s not actually how it works.

The real reason why this sound-at-a-distance thing works is because sacred sound does its thing at the energy level. And when it comes to energy, stuff like time and space and distance don’t have any effect on things.

Here’s the point in the discussion where I could launch into some far out discussion about energy, or wow you by using quantum physics to explain all of this. But I won’t. Because one is woo-woo. The other is boring. Both make me itchy.

So, let’s talk about a common example that illustrates this energy level thing.

Have you ever known who’s calling the second the phone rings, before you even pick up? Or have you thought about someone, only to have them send you an email a few hours later?

That’s energy level stuff.

Energy level stuff lets you make connections that don’t make any logical sense, but are totally real nonetheless. And if you can have these totally-weird-but-totally-real connections happen out of the blue, without even trying, can you imagine what’s possible when we actually try to do this on purpose?

During your session we connect. At the energy level. On purpose. Sacred sound does its thing in a way that doesn’t make any logical sense, but is totally real. And totally effective. I play a drum here. Your stuff shifts there.

Woohoo!

Granted, this explanation is nowhere near as exciting as sock ninjas, but you have to admit, it’s still seriously cool.

But am I missing something by not being there?

It’s cool to be here to hear the sounds live. But the truth is that sacred sound does its thing whether you’re here or not. Since its mojo depends on energy level stuff, and not being-here-to-hear-the-sound stuff, you’re not missing anything by not being here.

Being here is a bonus. Not a requirement.

Plus I record your whole session. You’ll get the recording as an mp3 file, which you can listen to as many times as you want. You can even listen to it and pretend you’re here. I won’t tell anyone.

See, you’re really not missing anything.

Well, except all the time and money and energy it costs to travel. And the bad food they’d serve on the plane. And the chance to snag an I Love Cincinnati t-shirt at the airport gift shop.

But I can totally send you the t-shirt, if it’s that important to you.

Nona JordanAs a yoga and meditation teacher, I knew that sound and music have a profound effect on us, but prior to stumbling across Fabeku’s website, I didn’t have a preconceived notion of what sound healing was all about.

I had purchased the MP3 download of Fabeku’s work before our sound session, and had some amazing experiences simply listening to those tracks.

I honestly didn’t know if having a distance healing session would be at all helpful for my situation, but I felt a strong pull to do so and I simply went with that.

After listening to the description that Fabeku provided of his distance session with me, I felt completely certain that the sense of peace and being held that I felt during before, during and after surgery was directly impacted by his work.

As I am healing from surgery, I am listening to the sound healing track repeatedly. Every time, I feel like it nudges my body closer to healing
more fully and completely.

I would definitely recommend Fabeku’s work to others, and will absolutely work with him again.

So what does this shindig look like? What exactly do you do?

You write and say hey, I want to do this thing. I write back and say hey, cool, let’s do it.

We’ll figure out all the time and date stuff, and then, when it’s time for your session, we’ll talk. And by talk I mean chat on the phone, or via Skype. Or if it’s more comfortable for you, we can cover stuff over email. That’s totally fine.

We’ll talk about what’s going on for you. About where you’re at. And, most of all, about where you want to be when we’re finished. We’ll make sure we’re on the same page before we get started.

The fancy pants folks call this part setting your intention, but, because I don’t wear fancy pants, I call it spending a few minutes yacking it up.

And while we’re yacking it up, you can tell me as much or as little as you want. I don’t pry for details or try to get you to talk about stuff you don’t want to talk about. Whatever you’re comfortable sharing is totally fine.

Once we’ve covered the what-you-want-to-focus-on part, I’ll get ready to rock. I’ll do my plugging-into-the-energy-level thing, which I can explain if you want, even though the explanation makes it sound way more woo-woo than it really is.

And before I start the actual sacred sound part of this awesomefest, I spend a few minutes hanging out with what you want to focus on during your session, and how you want things to look when we’re finished.

Then I drum. Or rattle. Or play the singing bowls. Or the tuning forks. Maybe I do all of it. I spend 30 or 40 minutes weaving together a big bunch of stuff-shifting mojo just for you. And as I’m playing, I’m watching to see how your stuff is shifting at the energy level.

I play and watch and play some more until everything lines up just right and you’re humming head to toe with awesome.

gourd & driftwood rattleOnce things are filled to the brim with awesomesauce, I stop rockin’ the sacred sound and spend a few minutes taking some notes so I can capture all the coolness.

Then I record some feedback-ey stuff for you. Details about all the coolness that was shaking out during your session.

Stuff that was happening at the energy level as your stuff was shifting. Stuff that gives you some insights into what kind of awesome showed up. Stuff that leaves you with a clear sense of what happened during the session.

I record the feedback as an mp3 file, which you’ll get after your session. So that way you can revisit the notes from your session anytime you want. Most people really dig having this recording to refer back to later.

Once I’m done recording the feedback, I’ll format your mp3 files, email you the download links and viola! You are the proud new owner of two shiny new mp3 files full of just-for-you awesomeness.

Right on. But what exactly do I do during all this?

We can rock this one of two ways.

We can both plug in at the same time, which means that while I’m drumming and rattling and doing my thing, you’re do something at the same time that helps you to tune in. You might go sit outside, or visit your favorite place, or rest, or do yoga, or get a massage, or meditate or sleep. Whatever helps you to plug in is perfect.

The second option is that I do my thing without you doing anything. You basically go on about your day, while I rock out on your behalf. No need to do anything special.

Since sacred sound works at the energy level, and does its thing no matter what you’re doing, both options work equally well.

tuning forkSo it’s totally up to you. Most people seem to prefer the plugging-in-at-the-same-time thing, since they feel more connected to the process, but plenty of people opt for the go-on-about-your-day option. The end results are equal. Stuff shifts either way. (And that’s reason #134,386 why sacred sound is a total rockstar.)

If we’re plugging in at the same time, we’ll check in on the phone or through Skype before and after your session.

We can also do this over email too, if that’s more comfortable for you.

If I do my thing while you go about your day, we’ll touch base through email before your session to talk about your focus. And then after your session, you’ll get an email from me with links to your recordings. That means you can listen at your leisure and you don’t have to worry about trying to coordinate a time for us to talk.

Will I feel anything while you do this? Will I have visions? Or see God? What if I feel nothing at all? (Ack! The pressure!)

Some people feel stuff during their session. Sensations of hot or cold. A tingle here or a twitch there. They may suddenly have a bunch of energy, or feel totally relaxed.

Some folks, if they’re visually oriented creatures, may see stuff shifting. Other sensing-sort-of-folks sometimes get impressions that register in other ways. Feelings. An awareness of movement. Lots of flow. That sort of thing.

It’s different for everyone. But no one has ever said they experienced anything even a little unpleasant. It’s all good stuff, because sacred sound is cool like that.

And then some folks feel nothing during their session.

Zilch. Zero. Zip. Nada.

And you know what? It’s totally ok when that happens. Because sacred sound waves buhbye to stuck and struggle and welcomes in awesome no matter what you are or aren’t feeling.

The success of shifting stuff doesn’t depend on a fireworks display.

So whether you see God or fall asleep, it’s all good. Stuff shifts. And you get a big heaping helping of awesome either way.

There’s no pressure here, because it’s absolutely impossible for you to cause this to go wonky. Sacred sound doesn’t just work if you’re meditating or sitting in some pretzel-ey yoga pose, or repeating your intention like a mantra.

It works no matter what you’re doing or not doing, feeling or not feeling, seeing or not seeing.

Sacred sound is that rare combination of totally foolproof, uber low maintenance and holy-awesomesauce-this-rocks-Batman!

So how am I going to feel when we’re done?

Most people say they feel really refreshed, like they’ve just spent a week on vacation. Or had a killer massage. Or been pampered in an ooh-la-la spa – you know, the kind with that fancy fruit water.

Then there’s the shifting.

Some people feel the effects immediately. After an hour they look and feel like a totally different person. That’s awesome to see! Getting rid of great big stuck, and filling up with all kinds of awesome is like a makeover for the soul.

bowl gongOther people’s stuff shifts in the days following their session. The awesomeness cooks for a minute and then starts to take root, changing ick into wow! And that’s cool to see too. Because seeing stuck and struggle take off is always reason to do a happy dance.

The vast majority of folks I work with tell me that after their session they have a ton of new energy, that life looks brighter and cooler and easier and a whole lot better. They can’t believe how much has shifted, how quickly it happened and how easy it was.

A lot of people have also told me they feel this deep sense of momentum after their session. It’s like the sacred sound not only clears out the stuck and struggle, and brings in a bunch of awesome, but it also provides this deep support that makes it easier to keep on keepin’ on until you end up exactly where you want to be.

Being refreshed and full of new energy and woo-hooing about stuff shifting is awesome. But what changes in your day to day life after a session?

You’re happier.
You’re more at peace.
You’re more in the flow.
Good stuff happens. Easier and way more often than before.
You feel clearer about stuff. Big stuff. Little stuff. All stuff.
You don’t trip as much, because there’s way less to trip over.
You feel I’m-like-a-bird free, because you’re not lugging a bunch of stuck and struggle around anymore.

And your life just feels like a thousand kinds of awesome.

I get that these may sound like big promises, especially if you’re up to your eyes in stuck. But this is exactly what I’ve seen happen again and again for people after a sacred sound session.

I don’t pretend that sacred sound fixes everything or that in the course of an hour every problem you have disappears. That’s not realistic.

But, in the course of an hour, I’ve seen great big change happen for one person after another after another.

People buried in stuck. People overwhelmed with struggle. People skeptical about whether anything could make things any different. People not that much different than you.

But my stuck is big/deep/scary/hard. Can sacred sound handle that? Can you
handle that?

I know it’s all kinds of scary when you want to change, but you’re worried your stuck is too big. It’s pretty terrifying to feel like your stuck is the one stuck that sacred sound can’t fix. It just feels too big, too deep, too scary or too hard to be budged by someone playing a drum and some tuning forks.

Can I tell you something?

I actually hear this a lot. The majority of people I work with have told me that, going into this, they felt like their stuck was the one stuck that would cause sacred sound to strike out.

Do you know when I hear this the most?

After their stuff has shifted. After they’re breathing easier. After they realize that their stuck – as great big, really deep and very scary as it was – wasn’t immune to sacred sound’s stuck-shifting mojo.

a group of tingshaSacred sound can stand face to face with big/deep/scary/hard stuck. It can work with it bit by bit, shifting it at the place where it started. And, when it’s finished, it leaves a whole bunch of awesome where the stuck used to be.

Because awesome is bigger and more powerful than stuck. Your basic nature at a soul level is to gravitate toward good stuff. And even great big, really deep and very scary stuck can’t alter your basic nature. Even if you’ve been stuck for so long that you’ve forgotten what awesome looks like.

Here’s what I can say with absolute certainty. I have never seen anyone leave a sacred sound session with the same amount of stuck as they had when they showed up. Not one single person.

Sacred sound can definitely handle the big/deep/scary/hard stuck.

And I can handle it too.

I’ve worked with people who’ve had virtually every variety and degree of stuck imaginable. Including people with great big, really deep and very scary stuck.

Horrific abuse. Crippling addiction. Chronic pain. Deep depression. Paralyzing fear. Profound hopelessness.

I’m not afraid of it. I’ve seen it. And I’ve seen sacred sound shift it.

I know there’s a part of you that’s bigger than even your biggest stuck. You might have forgotten about that bigness. But I haven’t.

And that bigness? That’s what sacred sound speaks to. That’s what sacred sound feeds. That’s how sacred sound supports you in shifting stuck. Even great big, really deep and very scary stuck.

Yeah, but will I have to schedule 319 sessions before I see a difference?

I totally get this question.

I’m always hesitant to try some new something before I know how much time (and money) it’s going to take before things start to look different.

I also feel kind of trick-bagged when someone waits until after my first session (and after they have my money) to tell me that I’ll need a bunch more sessions to get where I want to go.

Ugh.

It’d be nice to know that up front, wouldn’t it?

So, no trick-bags here. Because it sucks to trick-bag people.

How many sessions will you need?

Here’s the straight answer.

Most stuck shifts fast with sacred sound. Some stuck shifts totally in one session. Great big stuck, or really deep stuck, may take three or four sessions to shift. Even but-my-stuck-is-freaking-ginormous stuck will shift profoundly, if not completely, after six or seven sessions.

The truth is every single person I’ve worked with has seen their stuff shift significantly after one sacred sound session. Multiple sessions will help you to maintain the stuck-shifting momentum, which is great for the bigger, deeper and been-around-for-awhile varieties of stuck.

Himalayan singing bowlIt’s totally fine to schedule one session. You’ll get a lot out of it. And if you dig it, you can always schedule more.

I’m sure that after one session you’ll see some stuff shift. Sure enough that I’ll guarantee it. And not just any guarantee, but a chocolate-and-peanut-butter guarantee.

You can find all the details below, but the short version is that if you don’t feel like the session was helpful, you get your money back and I’ll do my best to refer you to someone else that may be able to help you.

I get that sacred sound is great at dealing with stuck. But do I have to be stuck to have a session?

Nope.

Sacred sound is pretty amazing at shifting stuff, working magic on stuck and making struggle head for the hills. But it also amps up the awesome on non-problem-ey stuff too.

So you don’t have to have a big hairy problem to get all sorts of coolness from sacred sound. And you don’t have to wait until stuck and struggle show up to have a session.

In fact, you’ll probably see a whole lot less of both if you work with sacred sound when things are already cooking in awesomesauce. Because sacred sound keeps things flowing and moving in the direction of the good schtuff, which means way less room for stuck and struggle to show up and stink things up.

So you can bring your problem-ey stuff and your awesome-ey stuff. Sacred sound works with both in equally radtastic ways.

I’m interested. But I’m still not totally sure about this sound-at-a-distance thing. What if this doesn’t work?

It’s ok to be skeptical. It does sound kind of nutty. I get that.

The reason I know this works is because I’ve done a ton of these distance sessions. And I’ve seen all kinds of stuck and struggle shift, and all kinds of awesome show up. Someone can be 200, 2,000 or 20,000 miles away and sacred sound still rocks the Casbah.

But you haven’t done a ton of these sessions, and seen all kinds of stuff shift for all kinds of people with all kinds of stuck. So of course you’re a little unsure. That’s totally cool, totally common and totally normal.

I’m not a high pressure kind of guy. So I’m not going to twist your arm to get you to schedule a session. Because that’s as obnoxious as it is sucktastic. It’s also not my style.

Here’s what I can tell you with zero hesitation:

This stuff works. As weird as it may seem. It works.

I wouldn’t offer it if it didn’t. Aside from the fact that I’m a ridiculously pragmatic dude, doing stuff that doesn’t work is lame and bad and gross.

And I’m confident enough that this will help you that I guarantee every session. And not just any guarantee, but a chocolate-and-peanut-butter guarantee.

You can find all the details below, but the short version is that if you don’t feel like the session was helpful, you get your money back and I’ll do my best to refer you to someone else that may be able to help you.

So, it really is ok to be skeptical. The guarantee means that you can be skeptical and still check it out if you’re even a little interested. Because you’re not out anything if you don’t dig it.

Sacred sound session at-a-glance (aka If you’re skimming, read this part)

Every sacred sound session includes the following bits of goodness:

  • A totally free & totally optional 15-minute consultation conversation (to make sure it’s a good fit)
  • A 60-75 minute session (a metric megaton of awesome!)
  • A recording of both the sacred sound bits and the stuff-I-saw-during-your-session bits (so you can revisit the awesome again & again)
  • The ability to download the mp3 recording within 24 hours after your session (usually it’s more like 2 or 3 hours)
  • Free follow-up support within seven days after your session (start-to-finish support, because that’s how I roll)
  • The chocolate & peanut butter guarantee (no risk, no worries)

How much does it cost?

Each sacred sound session is $175.

The aforementioned Chocolate & Peanut Butter Guarantee

I want what I do to be helpful for you. I don’t want you to pay me if what I did didn’t help. I also don’t want you to worry about paying for something that you may not dig. I know how much that sucks.

So, if you don’t feel your session was helpful, just tell me when we’re finished and it’s free. No worries. No hassle. No hard feelings. I’ll give you your money back. And we’ll still be friends.

In fact, not only will I give you back your money, I’ll do my best to refer you to someone else that might be able to help. Someone that I trust and have worked with personally.

Because not paying for something that wasn’t helpful is one thing, but if you get your money back and still have your stuck and struggle then you’re in the same place you were before we met. And that’s not cool.

metal rattlesSo, that’s the chocolate and peanut guarantee. Because chocolate is good by itself, but when you add peanut butter? It’s twist-and-shout good.

Why do I offer this guarantee?

Because being stuck is hard. Being worried about spending money on something that you’re not sure will help makes things even harder. I want to eliminate that extra level of hard, and make it easier for you to feel more comfortable getting from stuck to awesome.

And because I know that sacred sound rocks, and can shift all kinds of stuff with superhero-like skill. I have seen it help hundreds and hundreds of people. I’m totally confident that it will help you. And I’m totally comfortable standing behind that 100%.

Joely BlackBefore I encountered Fabeku, I’d never actually heard of sacred sound. I loved the free download, and his album and was really curious to find out what it was all about.

Fabeku writes a brilliantly warm and welcoming blog, and in all communication he’s open and engaging. He accepts everybody as they are, and that alone made me feel confident that he does his work with deep passion and commitment.

I’ve been completely blown over by the session and Fabeku’s feedback. He picked up on the core issue I’ve been struggling over for so long, which I hadn’t actually mentioned to him when we planned the central focus of the session itself.

Bringing it down to that one word, “fear”, cleared away all the morass of belief, thought and emotion to the real problem. I’ve never heard anybody describe me so effectively and perfectly, without knowing me very well.

I wasn’t actually that skeptical, to be honest. I do like my science and my double-blind research experiments, but I also have a deep faith that some things go beyond what can be currently measured. I was open to see what happened. I did feel odd telling other people that I had done this, but I think the effect on me over the following days demonstrated how effective sacred sound can be.

There were so many immediate effects (feeling calmer, gaining a lot of insight into my situation) it’s hard to know where to start. But perhaps the most stunning transformation came a few days later. All my life I have struggled with crippling self-consciousness, especially when I’m out and about.

Suddenly, I found myself out with people I barely know, relaxed and perfectly happy to chat away and engage with them without a clawing sensation at the back of my mind that I was getting everything wrong.

This has stayed with me, and over the last week I’ve felt increasingly calmer. Major emotional trauma that nothing else has shifted has just evaporated into thin air.

Since I had the session a week ago, I’ve been increasingly relaxed. It has continued to work out everything from my deep-seated fears to little, tiny matters that I’d never realised I struggled with. I brought to Fabeku a problem that had been intractible for about five years, and he handled it with calmness and love.

I would definitely recommend Fabeku to others. He handles everybody with a grace and care, and inspires confidence. I’ve never encountered anybody who does his work and treats everybody with such compassion.
