Fabeku,

I recently recieved my first two beautiful bowls and have been practicing. The video and explantions and your sense of humor really made a huge difference .. sure love the close ups. I was wondering about the chatter.. it's much more pleasant to listen to now that I made some slight changes in speed and pressure!

I also find that laying it on different areas of my body to play brings in another dimension.

Thanks for the support,

In Health,

You guys rock!

I was crazy nervous about my first foray into video. I pushed that publish button and then squished my eyes shut. And look at all the gorgeousness you have posted here.

Thank you!

I'm glad the video has helped so many of you rock out on your bowls. That's awesome. Singing bowls are some of my very favorite instruments ever. And they're incredible when it comes to sacred sound.

@Jason - I really dig trance dance. Was the class on the Frank Natale type of trance dance? I like his work, and I really like his Shaman's Breath CD. And I love that quote about sound. It's so true. Sound goes deep!

@Mahala - I've had a wide range of experiences with bowls too, including some that have made me want to run for the hills. For me, the quality of the bowl makes a huge difference. Badly made bowls sound about as pleasant as banging two pots together. Eek! But good ones... pure love!

@Katie - Just doin' my job. I am all about keeping cats safe from singing bowl related accidents.

@Gina - Tuning forks are seriously cool too. I use them a lot in my practice and I may put some in the shop too. That also means there may be some tuning fork videos on the way at some point.

@silver, @Small Elk, @Tatty, @Chris, @Leonie, @Lori, @Leah - Big thanks and bunches of chocolate for you!

Fabeku,

Thanks so much for sharing this. I could barely wait to play my bowls after watching your video. The close up views and careful explanation were really helpful. My technique really improved immediately just after incorporating a couple of pointers you shared and my cats also thank you as they feel much safer around me now – which is a good thing too!

I’m sure that my playing will be even better when I relax more into it. In fact, I can’t wait to have time to sit down and play for an extended period.

Thank you! My experience with singing bowls has been mixed from downright glorious to fingernails on a blackboard.

Thanks for your video and clear explanation.

Oh my goodness, Fabeku, you are frakking HILARIOUS!! You could be like a sacred sound stand up ( or in this case sitting down) comic! I LOVED this video!!I hope you do more.

And it was so incredibly helpful. I've always been stymied about how to make a bowl sing and this was a wonderfully clear step by step demonstration. Thank you.

Hugs & glitter,
Chris
