@Simrat - Thanks for digging the blog. I appreciate it. Capacity is definitely an element of this. My relationship to capacity is more about the ability to deal with what's in the container itself. In other words, I start by making space and then the next step is to also increase my capacity to deal with the newly expanded space and the cool stuff that shows up.

@Anna - Getting hip to the importance of the container was a huge epiphany for me too. It was one of those gigantic AH HA moments that, in a lot of ways, changed me and the work I do. For the better.

@Tracy - I totally know what you mean about the scariness of making space. When I do it, I try to add something about letting it happen in the easiest, coolest way possible. So that way it can be more fun and less scary. And I'm also with you on the every-bit-of-who-I-am-is-awake-now bit. Singing bowls totally have the quality to them, don't they?

Thanks for your comments. Super grateful.

I listened to the bowl sample, which I experienced as being simultaneously soothing and unsettling--something about the scariness of intentionally making room for a big thing, knowing that I can't control exactly what it will be or how it will show up. And as always with singing bowls, afterward I felt like every cell of my body was totally awake and alert. Whether it wanted to be or not. :)

@Nathalie - I'm totally excited to hear the post was both useful and timely for you. Yay! And did you say cake? Mmm, cake!

@Chris - Yeah, making room for the awesome that we want is pretty important. It can really be the difference between getting it and not getting it. Since I started working with consciously and purposely biggie sizing the container, both for myself and for the people I work with, all kinds of gorgeous stuff has happened. And I'm glad you dug the bowl too. It's a pretty amazing bowl.

Thanks again for all of the comment lurve. You guys rocks!

Dear Fabeku,

This is totally cool and such an important concept. I love that whole idea of allowing and inviting the container to get bigger so that you can bring more goodie goodness into your life.

And that gorgeous big bowl sound...... oooh la la!! I am swooning with ripply delight!!

Thanks for being the shaman sound rock star that you are!!

Love, hugs and glitter,
Chris

Thank you all for your awesome comments. I dig you guys so much.

@Lucy - I'm glad you gave both of these things a shot. That's awesome. And I totally get the feeling ridiculous thing. I feel like that sometimes too. Especially when I'm doing some wacky sound-ey thing and one of my rabbits gives me a look like I'm totally nutty. I can only imagine what they think.

@Leah - Yay for more-spacious-right-away! Woohoo! And I think it's so cool that you have so much awesome that you need a huge container. How delicious is that?!

@Katie - No turning back is right. I started with one bowl. One! Now I have 30+. Sometimes I swear they reproduce at night when I'm sleeping or something. Where did all of these bowls come from?

@Leonie - Right back atcha. You're all kinds of magic too, you!

@Amy - Om/Ohm/Aum is gorgeous, isn't it? And you're totally right. You can feel the goodness of this bit of sacred sound vibrating in your body. I like to play around with sounding it at different pitches, and seeing where each one lands. And I love that the singing bowl snippet gave you some confidence for the thing. Woot!

@Gina - Can I just say a big yay for life biggification? And that's an awesome parallel you drew with the shiatsu. There are so many links between sacred sound and bodywork. They both work at so many different levels. And I love the image of clearing the gook off the harp strings!

@Hiro - Yay you dug the bowl. It has a gorgeous sound, doesn't it? It's at least 200 to 300 years old - a larger Thadobati-style bowl. It's as smooth as silk too.

@Heidi - I'm glad the information struck a chord for you. That's very cool. Thanks for taking the time to let me know. I appreciate that bunches. I know it was a whale of a post, but this is a pretty big topic.

@Mynde - You know, I never even thought about the starry stuff that's going on right now. I have to admit, I'm about as astrologically clueless as it gets, so I usually don't think about stuff from that perspective. So I appreciate you bringing that element into the discussion. That strikes me as mighty interesting!

Great timing, with the eclipses and all. Biggifying your container is right in line with shifts and changes being stimulated in our skies. Thanks, as always, for your insightful posts that come with delicious audio bonuses :oP

I turned the speakers up loud and let the sound permeate my being and home space too! Grats!
